Spring! ahhh those pretty women in light-weight fabric, finally wearing stilettos and no more snow boots or heavily draped in coats, petticoats, peacoats, layers, cardigans, etc etc. the season to be half-naked and half-dressed. screw the clothes, I have more important things to talk about and it is the one thing I rarely look at in fashion shows because I’m too distracted with who’s who on the front row and what’s Anna wearing to the show and how long did the fashionistas have to wait for the damn show to start (we know fashion shows usually run off schedule. I don’t know why people set times either) and what was served for them to eat (put aside the fact that I have every reason to suspect people drank more than they ate) and ooh ohhhh what’s in the goodie bag!
Non, je suis desole, those are just lies. I don’t get distracted by all of them- really. I’m only distracted by if Sasha’s in the show, or if any of the models put on weight, how round each model’s face seems to be getting, etc. These small details distract me. But what distracts me most of all at the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2009 was how gorgeously beautiful the models were, and I’m talking about how their skin seems to look so flawless, so clean, so simple! Like there’s barely any make-up on them. As a psych as I am, I searched for the products used, who did what, what happened to their eyelids, what was applied on their faces that made them glow like pretty angels on the runway, etc etc. Goodbye thick eyeliner, heavy eyebrows and crazy hair! It’s all about the flawless foundation, soft pastels and bright eyes! Lisa Butler who did the make-up says “it’s bare but groomed- the kind of face that says ‘I take care of my skin’“. It’s not bare. It’s better than bare, oh how true.

and the hair! those narrow golden headbands! I feel like screaming out ‘HEY! I HAD THE SAME IDEA MONTHS AGO!‘
pardonnez-moi, but the pictures seem to be very very hard to find. go here instead
